1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Services
KCM Packers and Movers provides household relocation, office relocation, international moving, vehicle transport, warehousing, and goods insurance services. Specific terms for each service are detailed in your booking agreement. All services are subject to availability and geographic coverage.
3. Booking & Quotation
- All quotations are provided free of charge and are valid for 7 days from the date of issue.
- Quotes are based on information provided by the customer. Changes to the scope of work may result in revised pricing.
- A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a signed booking form or written confirmation and the applicable advance payment.
- KCM reserves the right to decline any booking.
4. Payment Terms
- A minimum advance payment (as specified in your quote) is required to confirm a booking.
- The balance payment is due upon completion of the move before unloading at the destination, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- All payments must be made by bank transfer, UPI, or other approved payment methods. Cash payments are acknowledged with a signed receipt.
- Late payments may attract interest at 2% per month.
5. Cancellation & Rescheduling
- Cancellation 7+ days before move date: Full advance refund minus processing fees.
- Cancellation 3–6 days before: 50% of advance payment forfeited.
- Cancellation within 48 hours: Advance payment is non-refundable.
- Rescheduling: One free reschedule permitted with at least 3 days' notice. Subsequent rescheduling may attract a fee.
6. Customer Responsibilities
The customer is responsible for:
- Ensuring all items to be moved are declared accurately and completely at the time of booking
- Disclosing any items of exceptional value, fragility, or special handling requirements
- Ensuring safe and legal access to both origin and destination premises
- Being present (or having an authorized representative) at both pickup and delivery
- Ensuring items prohibited by law are not included in the shipment
7. Prohibited Items
The following items will not be transported under any circumstances:
- Hazardous materials (explosives, flammables, toxic substances)
- Illegal drugs, contraband, or controlled substances
- Live animals (unless specifically arranged through our pet relocation service)
- Perishable food items (without prior approval)
- Firearms and ammunition (without proper permits)
- Cash, jewellery, and non-declared valuables
8. Liability & Claims
- KCM's liability is limited to the declared value of goods, subject to the insurance terms applicable to your booking.
- Claims for loss or damage must be reported in writing within 24 hours of delivery, supported by photographs and an inventory list.
- KCM is not liable for damage to items caused by pre-existing defects, improper self-packing, or items excluded from insurance coverage.
- Maximum liability for any single claim is limited to ₹5,00,000 unless comprehensive insurance has been purchased.
9. Force Majeure
KCM shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, strikes, road closures, riots, or pandemics. In such cases, we will reschedule at no additional charge.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on the KCM website — including text, images, logos, and design — is the intellectual property of KCM Packers and Movers. Reproduction without written permission is prohibited.
11. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Karnataka, India.
12. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, we encourage customers to contact us first at info@kcmpackers.in to resolve the matter amicably. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
13. Amendments
KCM reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be published on our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
